Nice to "Meet" You!

Hi, I’m Ainslie.

2013. Me and my daughter, Maddy, at the children’s museum long before I knew this place would shape my fundraising journey.

2025. Celebrating a fundraising award with a friend and colleague, Ashley. Proof that this work is always a team effort.

I’m a working mom, a wife, a business owner, and someone who wears a lot of hats. I understand the nonprofit world not just from the strategic side, but from the very real, roll-up-your-sleeves side.

I’m a true Erie girl, deeply rooted in my community, and proud of it. The nonprofit sector has been part of my life since I was 16 - back when it was more "fun" than “fundraising," working the back fence at the local zoo and helping with camel rides.

One of my proudest achievements is securing more than $18 million during the COVID-19 pandemic to build the new expERIEnce Children’s Museum in Erie, PA. This initiative became the largest capital campaign ever completed by a nonprofit of its size in the region. I also worked through the complexities of securing $5 million in Pennsylvania RACP funding, collaborating with government partners, community stakeholders, and organizational leadership. That experience gave me a deep, practical understanding of capital campaigns, public funding, and the coordination required to move large-scale fundraising efforts forward.

I’m a proud graduate of Penn State Behrend with a degree in Communications and Media Studies, and I’ve spent my career working in nonprofits, leading organizations, and helping teams build fundraising approaches that feel sustainable, thoughtful, and real.

A Few Highlights I’m Proud Of

  • $18 Million Full STEAM Ahead Capital Campaign, expERIEnce Children's Museum

  • 2025 Outstanding Fundraising Professional, Association of Fundraising Professionals

  • Outstanding Alumni Impact Award, Penn State Behrend

  • Women Making History Honoree, Mercy Center for Women

  • 40 Under 40, Erie Reader

Under my leadership, the organization I served achieved:

  • 2024 Nonprofit of the Year

  • 2025 MAAM Making an Impact Award

Recognition aside, the work has always been about helping organizations move forward in a way that feels doable.
